The Chief Minister inaugurates the new Research and Development Centre, and the Production Unit for Natural Products on September 16, 2007. Dignitaries, including Smt. G. Arunakumari, Minister for Health Education and Insurance, Sri. A. Ramanarayana Reddy, minister for Information & Public Relation, Cinematography & Tourism, Sri B. Karunakar Reddy, Chairman TTD Trust Board, Sri. Venkataramana, MLA (Tirupati), Sri S. S. Rawat, District Collector (Chittoor) and other senior officials were also in attendance. Dr. C. Damodar Reddy, CEO of the company, gave a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the importance of natural remedies for human ailments and the need for investment in research in herbal medicines. In this context, he also outlined future research activities of the natural products division of SLS. Sri. V. Vikram Reddy, Director of SLS represented the board of directors at the function. |
